The Challenge

Take the content of Al Gore’s compelling and controversial slideshow presentation addressing climate change and evolve it into a feature film and a global call to action.

The Solution

Develop the strategy for the feature-length documentary An Inconvenient Truth and then debut the film at the Sundance Film Festival, creating a pivotal cultural moment. Coordinate with and enlist the support of domestic and international press to drive coverage. Part of a rapid response operation to dispel myths surrounding the film’s making and climate change.

The Results

The film was a critical success, garnering two Academy Awards and numerous other accolades. It was also an  enormous box office success, becoming one of the top 10 highest grossing documentary features in U.S. history. The sequel to the film premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and is being released by Paramount.
